Ok, I know these fuzzy little pictures are hard to distinguish, but the little bean near the center is actually the baby showing us the crown of his/her head.
There's the little peanut laying with head to the right and little feet to the left. Side view.
When we took this picture, we were all laughing. Only 9 weeks old, this baby is a ham already. Not surprising if you think of the daddy. :) Here the baby turned a little towards the camera. On the left are the feet again, towards the right is the head. The baby was doin' a little dance--moving the elbows and kicking those feet high in the air.
Everything about being pregnant became so real to us today. Not only did we hear a heartbeat (163 BMP), but we saw the little heart fluttering. So AMAZING! We were so excited to see this little one inside...and moving to top it all off. The doctor said they were right on with the due date. This little peanut measures around 1 1/4 inches long. We taped the heartbeat, but it is a little static filled so won't make a good post on the site...but we enjoyed listening to it again on the way home!

Yippee!!! How precious is this? How is exciting is this? How incredibly real is all of this? This is SOOOOOO COOL! I love looking at these pictures. Is it not truly amazing to know that this little "peanut" will someday be your baby to hold? Did I not tell you how truly amazing this miracle is?
Did you guys cry? I am not sure if I cried more or laughed more seeing my ultrasounds! This is your baby's "first" picture for your scrap book ~ you do know that!
And, here is another thing you wil do for the next X amount of weeks ~~~ You will carry those pictures around and say "see our baby"!
I am so thankful to hear that everything is okay. I think you were starting to worry yourself and you had to see and hear things for yourself.
Adam , GOOD JOB !!!!!
Hmmmm- heartbeat was a fast one? Rumor says heartbeats over 145 is generally a boy. Not sure if that is true or not BUT all my kids' heartbeats were 160, 161, etc.....and you know I have boys! (Very active boys!!!)
Okay - so the first FUN hurdle is over....the next one is the first kick! That is cool!
I was so happy when your mom called me to tell me all the exciting news! I kept e-mailing her today asking when you two were going to the doctor. Then it was "have you heard yet?"...finally she called! Whew! I was so happy to finally hear about everything.
What a cute peanut....who does he/she resemble ( L O L !) Big feet??? ( L O L)
We are all so happy for the two of you. The fun is just beginning. Remember to journal all your feelings and "firsts". You will look back on these someday when you child has grown and have a few watery eyes thinking "I remember when..." I still go back and look at the "firsts" and just love to sit back and smile because we have been so blessed.
You too will both sit back and remember all these firsts WAY down the road; but for now, sit back and enjoy the moment. Each day will bring a new smile to your face, you will share a bond no one else can share, the love you have today for each other will grow each and everyday along with your new baby.
Thanks for sharing these truly wonderful pictures.......we love you both and can't wait until MAY!
Actually, all babies have heart rates around the 160s during this time. The heart beats slow down to the 120s-140s around 15 weeks. It is said that 140+ after that time denotes a GIRL, whereas 139 and below indicates a BOY. Hmm...
We definitely had tears in our eyes, but spent a lot of the time laughing! It was so amazing!
Both of our doctors are really nice---they make you feel like your baby is the only one they see.
Those fuzzy little pictures are so funny. Only a parent could love 'em!
Strange about the heart rate! Yes, Chris, Dave and even little Timothy had heartrates up to delivery of over 160.....a myth will always be a myth!
Everyone already loves your little fuzzy peanut!
Thank you so much for the phone calls. We are thrilled that you and Adam feel so great. ENJOY your pregnancy.
All our love,
G.and G. Farver
