Feelin' Better

OK, I'm feeling better today. Apparantly, the ligaments stretched enough for now and decided to give me a break. Adam thinks that the baby is just going to be big like he was (9lbs. 6oz.). I DON'T THINK SO! 7-8 lbs is fine, thank you!

I think I've been blessed with the most fun and exciting 1st trimester! I've felt good and am getting really excited now that I'm almost in the 2nd trimester!

Adam already talks to the baby and gives baby extra little love pats. He even pretends to be listening to baby's responses. I can't wait for the day where the baby kicks him in the ear when he tries to listen....that would be a hoot! What a cutie!

You just tell Adam unless he wants to squeeze a 9 pound baby out of you know where to be kind! I swear this is exactly why God blessed women with childbirth....because men can't take it but boy they sure like to tease!

Ha Ha Ha - love ya Adam....this is a "kick" isn't it????

I can say that Uncle Art was 9 pounds and so was I, and thankfully I had jsut a little under 8 pounders......so I hope that gives you some consolation, Becky!

I am glad that you are feeling better and I think it is cute to read about Adam.......just wait until the baby kicks is RIGHT! Look out, Adam!

Keep us update to date - love looking forward to your updates!

Hi Becky and Adam,

The maternity clothes that we have seen are very fashionable and look very comfortable. Most of the clothes are now designed to be worn during your pregnancy and after having the baby. The lingerie is beautiful. However, the clothes in our area at this time are for colder temperatures.

I noticed that Grand Aunt Peggy signed "lost in Texas". What I believe she meant to say is "lost in the shopping district of Plano, TX". Yes, Adam, shopping is a sport in Texas. A nice shopping trip in Plano,TX will help Becky's body stretch more comfortably.

Becky, there are advantages to not being able to see (or reach) your feet. Foot massages, pedicures, and new shoes.

You may want to consider keeping a journal so when you do see your Doctor, you have all your questions and concerns "ready".

Love,

Grandma Rose

Adam,

If Becky is going to shop in Plano,TX, "a sport". THEN you will need to join Uncle Ken, Uncle Marcus, and Grandpa Don in San Francisco,CA where a 9 hour wine tasting tour of the Napa Valley will be organized (a sport). Also,a great meal at Cafe Katie(a sport). Call Grandpa Don to organize. Please let Grandpa Don know if Uncle Kreg and Grandpa Ron would like to join this "sport".

Grandma Rose

SHOPPING IS A SPORT!!! If Plano is a shopping mecca, then we MUST partake in the fun! I intensly dislike pedicures, but would love a manicure now that my nails grow so nicely! And..you don't have to ask me if I need new shoes... shirts... purses... etc...etc...

Adam says he is in for the San Fran trip although I'd have to argue that the "wine tour" isn't exactly a sport... His funny Uncle Rick lives a hour outside the city, so he'd HAVE to come (and would be very happy to see Adam!) As for the others...he'll have to ask once some dates get figured out!

Oh, we hope this idea works out (and that it isn't too expensive). You guys are absolutely crazy! We'll have to plan soon!

Becky and Adam,
This all sounds great!

I'm sure Grandma Rose will organize...organize...organize until this all happens.

Looking forward to the visits and shopping, shopping, shopping. If we don't have it in Plano/Frisco, Texas, the store does not exist!
You'll be amazed.

Becky, stay well. Hope to see you soon.

Becky,

These trips are "showers"...Hi Grand Aunt Peggy! Thank you for inviting us to your home!

Might I suggest that the heavy shopping day fall on the same day as the 9 hour wine tasting day.

Love you,

Grandma Rose

Becky-

I didn't experience the ligament thing, but I have a girlfriend at work who is due in Feb. that just went through that. She also stated it is perfectly normal. Whew!! Sounds like a textbook first tri-mester. I am so glad you weren't real nauseated or worse, like your mother-in-law experienced.

I predict an average size baby. Do we have to make a guess so early? I like to look at the mom to be's profile at 8 months and I can pretty much tell the gender and size. (Experienced with Braggin Rights) Anyway, just let us know and we could start a baby pool at Christmas!!

Adam-

Dad just read the latest about you talking to your baby through the womb and pretending to hear a response. He chuckled. It touches our hearts knowing how much you are ready for this baby and want to be involved, not missing one moment. Its so sweet, but we always knew you would be a great dad. Always aware of your childs feelings. Don't ever change.

Dear Becky and Adam

Have a great 2nd trimester and keep on posting those fabulous comments.

Love & Kisses,

Mom and Dad (Grandpa & Grandma R)
