Ahhh...the joys of pregnancy...

Today baby decided to make it feel like I have done 4 bazillion situps. After my initial panicsville central, I called the nurse. (All of you who have had babies already are now chuckling)

Diagnosis: My nice tiny little ligaments are being STRETCHED and enlarged (against their will, apparantly). This is proving to be VERY painful. Julie the nurse says it is completely normal and is a sign that maternity clothes are coming soon.

Hope this doesn't last too long.

Sorry but I must chortle outloud! I am thinking to myself....oh wait, my dear! You know no clue what this little one will do to your body! I know what you are going through...every twinge is a feeling of "is this normal or not"? Like my doctors always said, they would rather you call and confirm everything is okay then wait.

Yes being pregnant for the first time is certainly an experience. And even though you want to remain calm throughout, that damn inner-thought keeps you nuts! I know, trust me, I have been there!

As my mother and sisters Made SURE to tell me when I was pregnant with Dave was that they were all getting gray hair from me and that they too were feeling as is they were pregnant! Oh well...sorry, but I was pretty paranoid with Dave!!!!

I love reading all your blogs....just remember Becky, every woman you see with a baby, every single woman you know who has given birth has experienced ALL of these same feelings and guess what? We are still here and many of us chose/chosen to continue pro-creating and going this all over again! So sit back, relax, and as strange as this sounds....ENJOY THE RIDE!

Let me know when you get your first set of "stretchy" pants! Ah Yes...right before the holidays - expansion clothes for eating...the best!

Congrats! We're due the same time. When I heard the heartbeat and had first ultrasound, it made it officially official and so I looked up "pregnancy" in Blogger search and your blog popped up.

I had horrible pains a few weeks ago and called TWO doctors to confirm it was fine. Gotta love the symptoms.

You're doing a marvelous job carrying my grandbaby!

You and Adam are going to be wonderful parents.

I love all 3 of you.

Oh Yeah, One More VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember.....not sure if this is applicable to everyone who reads this but it was for me:

I had this enormous MISconception that once the baby was born that I could wear those "cute" clothes pre-pregnancy home from the hospital! yeah, well WRONG! You think oh good, there goes that belly....now bring me that cute dress I looked so good in! As I tried everyway to squeeze chest, and hips into the dress I realized I WAS STILL PREGNANT LOOKING! Hey, someone forgot to tell me that the belly thing doesn't go away upon birth of the baby!!!!! So, after a tearful realization that the belly was going nowhere for the time being I made the phone call to bring that lovely pink sweatsuit I had come to love being pregnant. ( hated that pink sweatsuit days before birth...how happy I was to see it again...my old friend!)

So, Becky, dear, I do so hope you are fortunate enough to be able to wear something fancy home with your new bundle of joy so cutely dressed, however, don't be sad when you hear my voice say "I told you so!"

Oh yeah, if anyone out there is one of those fortunate ones to have been able to weigh less than pre-pregnancy DON'T SHARE! I know someone who did and that's all I heard was...Oh I weighed less after the baby than before I was pregnant!

Happy Pregnancy!!!!!!! (There are many things that no one tells you until you experience them for yourself)

LOVE YA!

Umm...those names rot! SO DO THE WHITE SOX! (Except we are happy they beat the Red Sox). I didn't realize how long the W. Sox have gone without winning a postseason series...
