Pardon Me, But I Have to Rant a Little

I love being pregnant, don't get me wrong...BUT....

I am tired of just looking like I've gained weight...I mean, baby, don't you need a little more room? I didn't really think I looked all that bad until the pictures started...you know, holiday parties, group shots with family, etc. YIKES! I don't look pregnant at all! Just fat! Now, that's no way to look! I would much rather people look at me and say, "Yep, she's preggo..." but no such luck...

beck-dawg,
i would really llike to SEE an updated preggo picture of you. the last posted picture was from like 16.5 weeks (sometime mid-november).
do you think we will get to see you and adam in person over the christmas break? i really hope so. even if it is just in passing, like we did that one year. and remember, i have a newer car with more room now, than i had before.

I got an e-mail from matt the other day, it seems that erin popped and there is now a little matt sturm running around. yea, I got his mail and all it said was the weightage, no mention about the sex or name. I think he was a little excited. Anywho it was 7lbs and 20 some ounces... I hope your doing well, amy wants to know if your craving pickles yet.

I feel your pain... I remember with Josie I didn't LOOK pregnant for the LONGEST time... until finally one day, someone at work told me I "blossomed." I was excited to finally look pregnant, but I wasn't thrilled about "blossoming," either. You'll get there, don't worry. Pretty soon you won't be able to reach the sink or see your feet!

Hi Becky

Carol and Meg have shared your blog with me and I have been following your pregnancy. This time I just had to comment. I know exactly how you feel I now have 2 prenancies under my belt. no pun. :) I seemed to get wider for the first 20 weeks then outward for the next 20 weeks. It is such a relief once you finally pop out. There is a clothing line called "in Due time" I think Target sells it but I have always said we need a line called "in the mean time" because you fell frumpy and heavy and noone knows that you are pregnant. So you look for oppportunities to bring it up in conversation so people don't just think you have gained weight. Especially when you are meeting new people or are seeing people that you haven't seen in a long time. Hang in there this too shall pass. :) Congratulations on your pregnancy and I can't wait until you post what the sex is...

Mostly unsolicited advice from twice-preg-meg:
Anything you can wear that accentuates your belly, rather than camouflaging it, will make you look more prego and less fat. Anything that ties under the bosoms, or anything form-fitting, says "if this was just fat, I wouldn't be showing it off, but it's a baby, see, a baby!" That's my $.02 for the day. Hah, fashion advice from me, what a laugh. :)
